We the Heroes

I was a hero not only for giving up my baby to the Pharaoh's daughter, and also putting my faith in God. I had total faith in him I knew he would look over Moses and make sure he was going to grow up to become a great and powerful leader. "It was always better to honor God than to fear men" says Jochebed for these reasons of faith, his parents chose to withstand whatever would came to protect baby Moses.

The Pharaoh's daughter was also a her hero because she risked her life in getting Moses out of the water, she was a hero because she felt the pain of the Hebrew women. She didn't want them to suffer , when she heard a cry out of the basket she felt her motherly instinct to take care of the baby. She had too keep the baby against her fathers wishes , which was very courageous of her. She gave him the best education Egypt could offer, Moses learned all the wisdom of the Egyptians, In the bible , we know her as a kind person with a tender heart, she was brave in defying her father the Pharaoh

Miriam Watching Moses
My daughter Miriam is a hero also because she was very brave when she followed the basket to the Pharaoh's palace, she  wasn't thinking about herself but was thinking about the safety of her little brother. She was very courageous she was brave to tell the Pharaohs daughter she had a wet nurse for her, but she was thoughtful in her mother that she could get her the nursing job.She couldn't have been a better helper she always helped Jochebed in her nursing job and helped save young Moses, she was very faithful that the lord would see her brother through, she never once doubted the Lord.

Significance of the Basket.

Pharaohs Daughter discovers Moses
The basket that I placed Moses in was the most important thing to me. The basket had to be very durable, it had to withstand the harsh conditions of the the most dangerous rivers The Nile. When I constructed the basket I was keeping in ming that it had to be delicate  enough to hold a baby. I made the basket out of tire, papyrus. I worked so hard to make sure it was just right for little Moses. I wanted him to be comfortable and secure. I bet your wondering why I put Moses in the basket on the Nile. I did it because obviously I didn't want the Pharaohs army to kill my child. Also I wanted him to have a life, I wanted an Egyptian mother to take him and care for him. I prayed that that would happened to him.

My Sacirfice, Life without Moses

My name is Jochebed and I Am the mother of Aaron, Miriam and Moses. When I was Pregnant with my third child Moses I was happy yet very sad. Pharaoh had ordered that all the new born boys be killed to minimize the number population of Hebrews. When I had Moses I was terrified I didn't want to see him be killed so I hid him for three months hoping that none of the slave masters would know. Finally,  I decided to put him in a basket and set him off into the Nile. I don't know what possessed me to put him into the most dangerous waters in Egypt. I prayed that God would keep him safe and guard him.

I was so happy to find out that Miriam had been watching over Moses while he sailed on the Nile. She watched him till the Daughter of Pharaoh found him. The Pharaoh hired me to be the breast-feeder for Moses thanks to Miriam. After he was old enough to be weaned from breastfeeding I had to give him up once again. I was so torn. I wanted to keep him  forever but I knew that he had to go back  to being "Prince Of Egypt."

Not being able to raise Moses was the most difficult thing I ever had to do in my life. I knew he would become a wonderful leader and Prophet. Moses saved our people from the Pharaoh. My Son!

My son was the son of Pharaoh soon to be the"Prince of Egypt". The same people that tired to kill him, but Moses could never deny his Hebrew heritage. He was a Hebrew and he never  forgot that. No matter how hard he tried he would always be Hebrew.

Moses was chosen by God, to save his people the Israelites. To free them from the evil miseries of Pharaoh. My son saved thousands of Israelites from death and the hatefulness of King Pharaoh. Although giving him away was difficult, God blessed him to be a great  and mighty leader. What more could a mother ask God for in a child!
